Another seven have been named finalists - Hot Damn Pepper Jam, Pink Bartlett, Italian Plum, Island Pear Shrub, Chile Lime \u0026amp; Tomato, Peach Shrub, Peach Bitters. Island Pear and Peach Bitters twice each. Same six copper pots. No pectin. When the lone farmette Shiro plum tree yielded 150lbs of plums that first season, Audra thought: \"that's a lot of pies!\" coming from a pie making tradition via her Polish grandfather, and promptly bought a copper pot and taught herself to preserve. A little magic, and lot of stirring later, the rest, as they say, is history.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe love the brightness of this Asian varietal, Shiro and find it pairs fabulously with mint, freshly picked from our kitchen garden. Inspired by a patch of mint growing wild by the Shiro tree. What grows together does indeed, go together.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis plum jam vies for most versatile. Awesome with toast, excellent with cheese, and perfect for anything you’d use a mint jelly on (pork, chicken, or lamb). For an inspired cheese pairing, serve this jam alongside goat cheese, or gussy it up with a little prosciutto for a perfect charcuterie pairing. Serve straight from the jar with pork or lamb chops.
