Limited Edition Ginny Jam
We are SO excited to introduce the 2025 vintage of this spectacular collaboration jam. Truly unique with season bending beauty & a touch of booze, welcome back our super small production Ginny Plum, a plum preserve with a fun spiked story and a sweet island ending.
In an orchard by the sea (Warm Valley Orchard) lies a grove of old Italian Plum trees, harvested by long time islanders Bob & Maria Nutt. These beautiful plums have been crated off to Seattle the past few years to be soaked with botanicals in gin by Copperworks Distilling for their lauded & award winning Plum Gin (side note, Bob is brothers with Copperworks Founder Micah and Audra bought her first Shiro Plums aside from the farmette tree, from the Nutt family).
A few years back we fielded a call from Copperworks- basically- hey- we’ve got these boozy plums we normally compost but maybe you want them? HECK YA we do.
So in true full circle fashion we picked up a truckload of buckets of the inaugural 2021 season island Italian plums that had spent most of 2022 on the lash in a gin bath and brought them back home. We rolled up our sleeves and hand pitted each and every one of them, added some sugar and a squeeze of lemon to the party and have an exquisite new limited edition preserve - just in time for holiday soirées with sugar plum fairies...
For this batch, the plums are from the 2024 harvest ~ we just rescued them from their gin bath mere weeks ago. And now, voila, jam!
The result: botanical, floral, mulled wine & candied fruit: Ginny Jam is ready to mingle.
Ingredients: gin-soaked plums, organic fair trade cane sugar, organic lemon juice
