Effie's Biscuits

We discovered Effie’s years ago through the Good Food Awards, which we’ve been honored to win a few times. We lusted over these buttery grain cakes for years and finally pulled the trigger to carry them in our shop on Orcas. Needless to say, they’re flying off the shelves so we decided to add them to this shop as well. These are fabulous vehicles for generous dollops of jam and require nothing more. But feel free to accessorize with cheese and nut butters as well. So dang good!

Original Oatcake: These lightly sweet, classic tea biscuits are unlike any you’ve tasted. A fourth generation family recipe, our original Oatcakes are crisp and buttery with layers of toasted oats and a hint of salt. Enjoy Oatcakes on their own or pair them with your favorite jam, nut butter, or virtually any cheese – from blue to brie. We’ve been spooning our Cherry Fig Leaf on these on repeat.

Cocoa: When only chocolate will do, reach for these crisp and lightly sweet Cocoa Biscuits. We’ve turned up the flavor, combining malted cocoa, crisp layers of oats and toasted coconut. Top with a dollop of mascarpone and fresh berries or a bright jam like Vanilla Plum Medley. Makes a great crumbled topping for ice cream, too.

Pecan: Sweet southern pecans take center stage in these deliciously nutty tea biscuits. They’re buttery-crisp, made with stoneground whole wheat and a just touch of wildflower honey. Enjoy with your morning coffee or pair with creamy blue cheese and and one of our pear jams.
