Limited Edition Greengage Lavender Spoon Preserves

✨ NEW✨

Back when Girl Meets Dirt was still just a blog about learning to grow things, I planted an orchard — the classic preserving fruits I'd only read about in the old French and English cookbooks. Greengage was one of them. This is the first year those trees gave a real harvest.

The Reine Claude greengage is one of the most sought-after preserving plums in the world — bright, honey-sweet, rich-fleshed. We leaned into that sweetness and rounded it with lavender buds I handpicked from the farmette garden, so it lands soft on the finish. Well-rounded, floral, unlike anything we make the rest of the year.

Lovely on toast, but built for a cheese plate — try it with fresh goat cheese.

A tiny farmette batch — 112 jars, from trees in their first real season. When they're gone, this pairing won't be back until the trees give again.

Don't miss its farmette sibling: Damson Lemon Balm — deep, tart, and even smaller in number (just 68 jars).

Ingredients: greengage plums, organic fair trade cane sugar, organic lemon juice, lavender

Handmade on Orcas Island in six copper pots; 7.75oz
